Notre Dame vs Pitt – The fighting Irish are one if not the most overrated teams of the 2025 season. They’ve played three ranked teams, and they lost their first two to Miami and Texas A&M. They then had a cake wake until they played USC who was ranked 20th at the time, and then they had two more games that were nothing more than scrimmages. Since they’re Notre Dame the press loves them like no other and these press writers keep this team ranked no matter what. Now with the luck of Irish and the love of the press, they have three more games, and this one is the only one where they’ll be playing a team with a winning record. So, all they have to do is just win their next three games and the hot oil rub down from the press will continue. However, this game isn’t a certain win. They’ve beaten the Panthers the last two times they’ve met and, in those contests, it wasn’t even close as the Irish won 110 – 10. However, in their previous meetings Pitt has been a torn in the side of the Irish and they’ve even upset their post season plans from time to time. Notre Dame has a bevy of weapons, including RB Jeremiyah Love who has ranked up a bunch of yards against inferior teams. QB CJ Carr is the one that has been leading this team and as long as he is on point, which he is able to do from time to time, the Irish just need to keep riding the wave of momentum they’ve built up, and they’ll end up winning their last three games. Even with the tongue bath that the Irish have Pitt is not a team that is going to just lay down and let Notre Dame win. The Panthers are also coming into this game with a wave of momentum. They did lose to their rival West “By Golly” Virginia and then followed that up with another lose to Louisville, but since that time they have won out. Now the Panthers come into the teeth of their schedule as their remaining games are all against ranked teams. Current Head Coach Patt Narduzzi is 0-4 against ND so that’s not working in their favor. Pitt does come into this game with one of the top 10 scoring defenses which is a trademark of a Narduzzi team. Notre Dame does not fair well when facing a disciplined defense. QB Mason Heintschel did not start the season as the starter he was thrust into the job after Pitt started the season 2-2 and he hasn’t lost since with 1,547 passing yards and 12 touchdowns. The offense has become rather potent under his watch. The stage is set. Pitt’s opportunity is knocking. College Gameday is going to be there Pitt actually has nothing to lose, everyone is expecting Notre Dame to win, everyone wants the Irish to win, Pitt is going to lay everything on the field, and it just might be enough to pull the upset, so much so that CSF is going to pick Pitt for the win.

Oklahoma vs Alabama – The Sooners enter this game almost forgotten about after they loss to Ole Miss. They got a bit of a reprieve by beating Tennessee, but they now have to face Alabama, Missouri and LSU to finish out the season. Which means this game is do or die for OU. Last year they completely ruined Alabama’s chances of making the playoffs and they could again. Last year when these two teams met, Alabama didn’t even get off the bus as the Crimson Tide got walked all over 24-3. OU has a strong defense they make their game by putting pressure on opposing quarterbacks, they were able to win over Tennessee and South Carolina by putting the QB on their back multiple times. In their two losses to Texas and Ole Miss they could not get those multiple sacks. Last game against Alabama LSU blitzed about every single play and they were able to put some pressure on Ty Simpson, just not enough. If OU is going to upset Alabama, they have got to create pressure and a lot of it. Alabama has got to take this game more seriously than they did against LSU. They cannot allow this game to get by them. Alabama’s defense is starting to fine its grove; they’re not up to the level of the Alabama standard but they are showing signs of improvement. OU’s offense loves to run the ball, and they’ve been effective at it, but they must run it at least 40 times a game to be effective, they may not get that opportunity if Ty Simpson and the passing game is on point. After getting all that pressure from LSU last week, the coaching staff has got to be prepared and have a game plan to counter the blitzing. Alabama has been working on improving their running game and if they’re able to show that improvement, it will help greatly. This game has been a worry point for Alabama fans all season. OU is a very good team, and they match up very well against Alabama. Most coaches and players will tell the press that revenge is not a motivator and to that I say bull snot!!! Revenge is a great motivator, and Alabama is seeking it in a big way. The Crimson Tide wants this game, they need this game, and they better get off the bus with nothing but revenge on their mind. As an Alabama fan I am greatly worried about this game, I’m picking the Tide to win because I can’t go against my heart, but it’s going to be a very tough game. Roll Tide!

Texas vs Georgia – If Alabama loses to Oklahoma or Auburn then Georgia goes to the SEC Championship game if it wins this game against Texas. However, if Texas wins this game and is able to beat Arkansas and Texas A&M then they might get the invite as long as Ole Miss loses to Mississippi State. Both teams enter this game with the possibility of making it to the conference championship game, but they need help. Texas has not had the dominate season they were supposed to but just in case no one has noticed UT has won five straight games which means they’ve figured some things out. They haven’t worked out all the flaws, they are painfully inconsistent, and they have trouble running the ball, they also don’t know which Arch Manning is going to show up, the Jekyll or the Hyde. What has been consistent has been their defense, who has been eating up everyone. Texas has the number 1 defense in number of sacks and they are second against the run. If they are able to get to QB Gunner Stockton on a regular basis this defense is going to disrupt the UGA offense. Georgia is the master of second half teams. For some reason the Bulldogs just can’t start the game as a dominant team. They have struggled more in the first half than anyone in the nation, but then in the second half they come out of the gate like gangbusters and win the game. UGA cannot allow the first half to get away from them, if they allow the Longhorn defense to dominate it is doubtful they’ll be able to overcome it in the second half. What Georgia does have going for them is the Texas team themselves. Most elite teams don’t go into overtime to beat Kentucky or Mississippi State. The Longhorns did have one great game against Oklahoma but that was more of OU’s QB John Mateer being banged up. UGA is going to run the ball as much as possible, once they get the ground game clicking, they’ll be able to open up the passing game as QB Stockton won’t have to worry about getting planted into the ground. UGA is the pick to win mainly because their defense is very good, and it’s doubtful Texas is going to be able to be the dominate team all game long.
